Prototype Machine Development
Many of PINE's projects are focused on developing a machine which is capable of investigating a new or emerging method in Advanced Manufacturing. This has led to the development of the methodologies which streamline the selection and integration of off the shelf components which constitute the final test bed machine.
Process and Parameter Development
From their work in a range of Advanced Manufacturing processes, PINE has developed a wide variety of tools and techniques which can be deployed to develop an understanding of a new manufacturing process. From this knowledge base, PINE is able to develop processing parameters to ensure optimal application.
CAM and Path Planning
An integral component of any Advanced Manufacturing process is the preparatory work. PINE has answered this call by developing a custom suite of software packages which support the entire pre-manufacturing process from CAD model interpretation all the way to developing machine code which is ready to be executed by the machine.
Modeling and Simulation
Due to the expense associated with Advanced Manufacturing processes, PINE has developed a suite of simulation and modeling softwares which can be implemented to aid in the testing of path plans and fundamental understating of the process. These simulation have a range of accuracies and efficiencies tailored to fit the needs at hand.
Material Characterization
